Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Liverpool)

Alex Oxlade- Chamberlain has said time and time again that he would love to play in central midfield and now that he has transferred to Liverpool this is likely to be a reality for him. The midfielder is known for being a versatile player and has already accumulated 66 BPS. Chamberlain will likely be fighting for a place in the starting eleven against Wijnaldum and Can. He is currently ranked first in terms of CBI’s amongst midfielders and stats like this could help him stake his claim. He is also well equipped going forward as this is evident with his 7 assists and 2 goals last season. Priced at just £6.0, he is definitely a more budget friendly option when compared to his Liverpool counterparts.

Fpl Stats

Serge Aurier (Spurs)

Aurier was one of the highest rated defenders in Ligue 1 last season. His strength, pace, and positional awareness suggest that he has the capability to be one of the best full backs in the Premier League.  Aurier has more goals than Trippier as a right back and Football pundits also suggest that Spurs could now switch to a three man defense, this could mean that Aurier will be Pochettino’s first choice. The goalscoring capability of Aurier is one of the main reasons why he comes in at a price of £6.0. Apart from a tricky away fixture at Everton, Spurs have a relatively easy run in their next 4 games, each with an FDR of 2.

Wilfred Bony (Swansea)

Priced at just £6.0 and having scored 25 goals and providing 6 assists in the two years he spent at Swansea makes Wilfred Bony sound like an absolute steal, especially as a third striker. Bony is not expected to be playing a full 90 minutes right away and will most probably be eased into the Swansea squad. However, his previous record with the Swans and the fact that Fernando Llorente has transferred to Spurs means that Bony will definitely be more than just a squad player. The 0.2% of managers who have already brought him in will be hoping that he is able to replicate the form he showed in ’13-14 season when he amassed a total of 158 FPL points. We are convinced that Bony will be a good option as a third striker once he is fully fit and starts getting match time, especially since Paul Clement prefers playing with a two man front line.

Mamadou Sakho (Crystal Palace)

Last season Sakho played a little under 700 minutes, yet got 35 points, which included 6 bonus points. He averaged about 4.5 points per 90 mins. A knee injury will keep Sakho out for a few more gameweeks and Crystal Palace fans will be hoping he is fit before the 23rd of September which marks the beginning of a very difficult 3 match run. Sakho is priced at £4.9 and once he is fit he should definitely be considered after GW8 when Palace have a run of 10 to 11 games with just one difficult fixture against Spurs.
